Phi Mu’s national philanthropy is Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. As the only sorority corporate sponsor, we are committed to raising over $500,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals every year. The money raised and donated by our collegiate chapters is used locally to support one of the 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals nationwide. In total, Phi Mu has contributed over eight million dollars, and countless hours, improving the quality of life for children throughout the country.
Thanks to Alpha Eta’s main philanthropy fundraising events, our chapter is able to raise money for the children of CMNH. Phi Mu members look forward to visiting with the children at the newly built Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in Baton Rouge every month.
Fall in Love With Phi Mu
This Fall, Phi Mu held it’s Fall in Love With Phi Mu fundraiser! The event featured pop-up shops from a number of different boutiques and shops & a Cafe Du Monde food truck. Active members, alumnae and community members all got involved in this event to raise money for CMNH and make a difference for the kids! (FTK)
BonnaMu – Battle of the Bands
This Spring, Phi Mu Alpha Eta also hosted our second annual philanthropy event: BonnaMu. Phi Mu hosted a Battle of the Bands between fraternities and other LSU students. These bands included The Late Nights, Isosceles Popsicle, Hi-Key, and John Scott. The rock-themed event took place in Tiger Land near LSU’s campus with two food trucks outside: The Big Cheezy and Curbside Burger.
Members invited their friends and family to enjoy a Friday night out all while raising money for the kids! BonnaMu raised over $32,000 all proceeding Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, specifically going to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. Phi Mu could not have done this without the help of family, friends, sponsors, and vendors! A huge thanks goes to all those that made this event possible.
